Newman's Organic coffee blended with homemade almond mylk topped with nutmeg.
The almond milk is sooooo easy to make. Your version will taste so much better than the store kind. You will be mad you ever drank that stuff in the box! I promise.
Soak the almonds overnight in filtered water. (I use raw almonds because the nutrient profile is higher in raw nuts vs roasted ones where the heat has destroyed a lot of the healthy properties.)
Rinse the almonds in the morning.
Put one cup of almonds into a high speed blender.
Cover with 2-3 cups of water.
Add 1 tsp of vanilla. (Muse pure vanilla not fake flavor please)
Add 2 tbsp of maple syrup or raw sugar. More if you like it very sweet.
Blend until creamy.
If you don't have a high speed blender, pour the remaining liquid into a strainer over a bowl to remove the pulp.
Store in glass bottles. Shake before each use.
This will keep for a week in the fridge.
